Perkiomen Valley Friends & Neighbors |
| Perkiomen Valley Friends & Neighbors (PVF&N) strives to
provide women with an outlet in which to meet others in their community.
Our objectives include community service, charitable works, as well
as social and family oriented activities. |
| Perkiomen Valley Friends & Neighbors began as the Welcome Wagon
Club of Collegeville in February 1976. The name of the club was changed
to Perkiomen Valley Friends & Neighbors in 1985. At that time
new bylaws and a list of objectives were written and approved by the
membership. The spirit and goals set by those members are alive and
well in our club today. Perkiomen Valley Friends & Neighbors,
since its inception, has sponsored the many activities that you see
throughout this brochure. |
- Laurel House: A shelter for abused women and children providing
a safe haven, counseling services and community outreach programs.
- Hospitality Center of Montgomery County: A daytime shelter
for homeless men that provides warm or cool refuge from the elements.
- Southeastern PA Veterans Home: Nursing care and residential
facility available to veterans and their spouses.
- Annual High School Scholarship Awards: Each year a student
from Perkiomen Valley, Methacton, and Spring-Ford school districts
are given scholarships. One of the main criteria for this award
is the students involvement in his or her community.
|
| Fun-filled activities vary by month. Future activities to include: |
